Here it is again, that video that I keep sending out repeatedly. https://rumble.com/vauft1-robert-f.-kennedy-jr.-explains-how-big-tech-and-oligarchs-are-using-pandemi.html… It's a monomania of mine. Well, we all have our peculiarities. I keep sending it out, not because I think it is perfect--I don't agree, for instance, with Kennedy's rose-hued portrayal of FDR... but it is nonetheless a smashing video imo because so much insight is condensed into less than 20 minutes. Here I want to emphasize one section of the video, which comes right after Kennedy mentions Naomi Klein's book Crisis Capitalism. Kennedy notes that the book shows how "authoritarian elements in a society, and large corporations, and wealthy plutocrats and oligarchs, wealthy families.... use crises to SHIFT WEALTH UPWARD and to OBLITERATE THE MIDDLE CLASSES IN THOSE COUNTRIES. " Note that Kennedy said this in 2020....before he could have known for sure what would happen. So what actually DID happen wealth-wise during the Covid crisis? Here is how Debby Lerman of the Brownstone Institute describes it:
"In assessing the potential influence of profits on the indefinite continuation of the state of Covid emergency, the numbers speak for themselves. Here are just a few of the jaw-dropping reports on the beneficiaries from never-ending Covid:
Big Tech
In October 2021 the New York Times reported: “In the last year, the five tech superpowers — Amazon, Apple, Google, Microsoft and Facebook — had combined revenue of more than $1.2 trillion. … some of the companies are growing faster and are more profitable than they have been in years.”
Test Makers and Sellers
In January 2022 CBS reported “Windfall profits for test makers,” including Abbott Laboratories ($1.9 billion in third-quarter sales related to COVID-19 testing, up 48% compared to the year-ago period). Other beneficiaries with skyrocketing profits were labs that process PCR tests and drugstore chains like CVS and Walgreens.
Vaccines
In February 2022 The Guardian reported that Pfizer made nearly $37 billion in sales from its Covid-19 vaccine in 2021 – making it one of the most lucrative products in history. Pfizer’s overall revenues in 2021 doubled to $81.3 billion, and it expects to make record revenues of $98 – $102 billion this year.
Billionaires
In January 2022 OxFam reported: “The world’s ten richest men more than doubled their fortunes from $700 billion to $1.5 trillion —at a rate of $15,000 per second or $1.3 billion a day— during the first two years of a pandemic that has seen the incomes of 99 percent of humanity fall and over 160 million more people forced into poverty.”
“If these ten men were to lose 99.999 percent of their wealth tomorrow, they would still be richer than 99 percent of all the people on this planet. They now have six times more wealth than the poorest 3.1 billion people.”
Again, I emphasize that Kennedy made his "prophecy" regarding the coming redistribution of wealth--he made that prediction in 2020. Now the figures are in, and Kennedy absolutely nailed it. Whatever other things Kennedy will eventually be proven wrong or right on, he was certainly right about that--and it was a very important thing to be right about. The very people who were pushing Establishment policies--vaccine mandates, no research on alternative therapies, massive lockdowns, masks, and social distancing--were profiting hugely from those policies. Golly gee, what a coincidence.
That is especially interesting in light of the fact that at the height of Covid mania, Kennedy was named by a supposedly objective, highly respectable, certifiably expert outfit called The Center for Countering Digital Hate (?!) as one of "The Disinformation Twelve", a list of individuals supposedly responsible for a disproportionate amount of inaccurate information on digital media. The list was widely circulated and widely quoted, even by the White House.
I mention this because I think it is a very clear example of how utterly untrustworthy the Establishment "guardians of truth", the experts, the so-called fact checkers, often are. We should not give them any credence. Their track record for accuracy is much, much worse than Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s track record.
They owe him an apology.
"They now have six times more wealth than the poorest 3.1 billion people.”
That's misleading ..... From a Wikipedia website (I think we can agree that in this case, they're not wildly wrong):
"The first table lists countries by the percentage of their population with an income of less than $1.90 (the extreme poverty line), $3.20 and $5.50 US dollars a day in 2011 international (PPP) price."
From the US Council on Aging:
4 person household: 100% Federal Poverty level: $27,750/year = $76.03/day.
The first line compares our wealthy with their poorest.
Our poor are 40 times better off (in terms of income alone) than theirs.
Their poorest is a direct consequence of their government's policies.
On the other hand, there's no doubt that many (for some unaccountable reason, not us) have profited greatly from this. And in many cases, they managed things to ensure their profits.
