SOME THINGS DO NOT CHANGE-- INCLUDING THE OBAMAS

Many people were shocked yesterday when former First Lady Michelle Obama, speaking at the opening of the Obama Presidential Library, conspicuously refused to make any distinction between legal and illegal immigrants. Listeners should not have been (shocked). The Obamas’ hypocrisy continues to be an unbroken record.

After all, this is the same lady who, at the 2020 Democratic convention, claimed that as a black woman in racist America, she is afraid to step outside her door in the morning!! This from a woman whose principal residence (by choice) is on Martha’s Vineyard... which means that that very doorstep onto which Michelle is “afraid to step”... is one of the safest (and whitest) places to live in the world (not to mention that Ms. Obama has 24-hour lifelong Secret Security protection.) Give us a break, Michelle.

And just for the record.... in “racist” America, it’s Donald Trump who has endured three almost-successful assassination attempts. The Obamas? Zero.

Of course, this is the same lady who had informed us that she had never found anything in America to be proud of, until America made her husband President.... and herself First Lady. A tad egocentric?

I well remember the speech which had first made Barack Obama famous, given at the 2004 Democratic national convention. I watched that speech and was absolutely blown away. “There is no white America, there is no black America,” Barack Obama proclaimed. “There is only America!” Like many Americans, I was ecstatic.

Four years later, Americans elected him President... and Barack Obama consistently did the exact opposite of what he had led us to believe he would do: He played the race card every single time he was given the chance. He even famously stated, “Racism is in our DNA.” (A profoundly racist thing to say.)

When world leaders gathered in Paris to march in unprecedented solidarity against Islamist violence, Obama was one of the few world leaders who was conspicuous by his... absence.

The great banking crisis of 2008 had occurred on President George Bush’s watch, for which Bush deservedly receives lasting ignominy. Nevertheless... it fell to Bush’s successor, Barack Obama, to clean up the mess and hold the criminally speculative “investment banks” legally accountable for their actions.

Instead, Obama did the exact opposite: He protected and bailed out the big-bank malefactors as “too big to fail”... and transferred the huge costs to American home-buyers and taxpayers. It was one of the biggest miscarriages of justice in American (and world) history. The fact that the history books and mass media do not treat it as such, is powerful testimony to the power of the banking lobby (and their Siamese twin, the globalist lobby).

Not surprisingly-- having learned that they could get away with malfeasance, even criminality-- financial institutions slid ever more deeply into messy financialization at best and outright fraud at worst. The resultant debt and instability threaten the very existence of our republic.

Years later, it emerged that Obama had been taking orders from the big banks for quite some time, and had actually been handed a sheet of paper with a list of names on it from Citibank—names from which he was expected to select his cabinet! (And in large part, did exactly that.) During the eight-year Obama tenure, inequality of all types increased in American society--far from decreasing, or even holding steady. (Again, this is seldom noted in the “news” or in modern “history”... because it does not fit the culturally prescribed narrative.)

Finally, Barack Obama to this day has an entire year missing from his curriculum vita, and our plucky news media politely refuse to even ask him about it. (Imagine their reaction if Donald Trump had an entire “missing year”!!)

So I’m no longer shocked or even surprised by anything that either of the Obamas says or does. They are simply playing the great American game that has made our political scene the cesspool that it is: Follow orders from “the Firm” and you will be amply rewarded. It’s all about money.

But pretending that it’s all about race has served the Obamas well.... and no doubt will continue to do so.
